Exterior Sheathing rotting .

We tore out the bottom 2 feet of drywall through out the house along with bottom two feet of insulation on the exterior walls. In one room, I noticed the sheathing was rotting out in some places .in fact, I have never seen sheathing like this .it almost looks like drywall and it crumbles when I touch it, etc.
